An Exciting Day

Yesterday we had an exciting day! We went to the doctor for our first ultrasound. I am 15 weeks along so I guess it might be a little later than most people get an ultrasound, but it was really cool. The doctor put the gooey stuff on me and then there was this blob on the screen. Because I didn't know what was going on, I decided to watch the doctor's face to see if things were good or not. He got this smirk on his face and started laughing. I decided that must mean it wasn't a bad thing. So he said, "Looks like this kid is doing jumping jacks!" So we saw our baby moving all over and waving his/her arms all over. Maybe our baby was saying hi! It was really a cool experience. The doctor said we had a good looking kid and that everything looked good. So, now that I know that this baby inside me is really there and that everything seems to be going alright I am finally allowing myself to be excited and happy. And I feel so much better! That's a definite plus too. I guess I can post my ultrasound picture on here but it just looks like a blurry black and white blob to me. The actual ultrasound was much better. We saw the head, arm, spine, and legs. We also saw the heart beating. So neat!

Hooray! I am so glad to hear that you are excited and feeling better. I would love to see the ultrasound picture-I might actually know what I am looking at...maybe. Congrats to you both on a healthy kid.
