It's a girl!!!!

So the long awaited day has finally come. It was really cool. Our baby has grown quite a bit. It was fun to look and see her hands and her feet. She stretched her legs straight out and that explains all the kicking I feel. She also liked to put her hands to her mouth. The doctor said everything looked good and that she is very active. Everyone asked us what we wanted, a boy or girl. Chris and I always said we didn't care. Well it turns out we did. Although we are very happy about our girl, we were both pretty certain we were having a boy. So I am in shock and Chris is a little sad but we are excited to get used to the idea of having a baby girl. I guess Chris gets to be the only one so far in his family that is different. All of his brothers and sisters (eight of them) have started their families with boys. We are the first exception! So bring on the pinks and the purples. Baby girl, here we come!
